A folded flag.... Bunker gear arranged..... Honor Guard presents their brother or sisters helmet to the family..... The pipes play... We are given much responsibility. Watch our brother or sisters back. Protect the public. Save lives and property. We do this every moment of everyday because its who we are..... To whom much is given, much is required. And as we say.... some gave all. Greater love hath no man, than he lay down his life for a friend. There is no more somber a moment than when they sound the tones for a fallen brother or sister's Last Call..... "To whom much is given, much is required."

What a beautiful memorial. Thanks to everyone that made this memorial possible. My son, Shane Michael Daughetee-Hwy 58 VFD, would say the same as others,I was only doing my job. It takes a person with a deep passion and desire to become a Firefighter, and even more to give that ultimate sacrafice.
